We're Pretty Super and We think you are too!
We are a kids entertainment duo! We play music for birthday parties, children's festivals, daycares, preschools and elementary school assemblies. We love to combine silliness and creativity to create a show that is enjoyable for everyone. We are credentialed educators in the bay area, and we love using music in and out of the classroom to support learning. We know some of the more recent challenges facing students and classrooms and we'd love to promote a positive school environment. As parents we are each raising our own respective children and understand what goes into planning a party or event for friends and family and we want to support that experience. As life long learners we are always trying new music, ideas and projects. Check out our blog to follow our adventure!
A Pretty Super Story
It all started with an elementary spring concert. We (Ken, Ash and Josh) worked at the same elementary school. We started playing music together in 2017 to accompany their elementary school choir sing a Charlie Puth song. Realizing we really enjoyed jamming as a band, we started playing more covers. The band The Pussywillows was born!
In 2020, Josh moved far away, and also the world closed down. We continued playing in a duo setting. This provided the perfect opportunity to write and produce our own album! Gaining experience through playing different private events, farmers markets and a few wedding anniversary parties and another album, we discovered how much we enjoyed playing children's music and writing silly songs for kids!

We now have an amazing bass player, Tony and our drummer Josh comes back to play with us whenever we play with a full band. You will see Tony and Josh featured in some of our Youtube videos, and probably in our podcast! Our goal for the Pretty Super project is to use music and a bit of humor to encourage selfcare, healthy routines and strong socio-emotional skills. We want to highlight and celebrate artist around us and put a spotlight on how full life can be when there's a little art and creativity sprinkled in.
